Blackwood Pack
The Blackwood Pack (Hikaeon-esi Ur) is a small pack of uratha that claim territory in and around Ashton Park in north-central Blackmouth.
The First Pack
The first incarnation of the Blackwood Pack was active in the 1980s and '90s. They claimed territory around a cluster of old-growth woodland at the heart of Ashton Park and had ties to numerous other beings and groups in the surrounding city, including other werewolf packs, vampires, mages and other, stranger beings. These alliances did not save them, as the pack was almost entirely destroyed in the mid-90s. What caused their fall is unknown due to the chaos in the city at the time, with rumours in uratha circles attributing it to a vampire, a mage, or the manipulations of Hecate herself, depending on the teller. What is known is that the only surivor of the fall as Valentina Blackwood, who hunted down and destroyed those she held responsible before vanishing from the city, and that the fall of what became known as Blackwood's Pack tore the heart from uratha society in the city and set the stage for the Nights of the Broken Moon.
The New Pack
The pack reformed as the Hikaeon-esi Ur in the 2010s by Valentina Blackwood after her grandchildren Gaige and Elias experienced their First Change. The pack is currently small but has reclaimed its former territory around the Old Trees of Ashton Park, and begun to form connections with other supernatural groups and beings operating at the fringes of their societies, including the Consanguinity of the Gorgon, members of the House of Pink and Jane Barrows.
