• Morris Mayfair - Traditionalist small businessman operating from the Arcade.
• Jane Barrows - Child of Willowgate family business owners, trying to get out.

Other Characters (NPCs)

• 'Big' Jimmy Martin - Legitimate businessman, childhood friend of Morris.
• Daniel Matthews - PI hired by Morris to investigate Diana. Tall, well-dressed, quiet, African.
• Fred Spears - Custodian of Willowgate. Resilient, southern, African-American, no fucks to give. Currently unwell after exposure to something unpleasant.
• Hank Torres - Foreman of Ormwood Development Ltd. work crew at Willowgate Arcade. Staid, serious union man.
  • Currently in St. Christopher's Hospital after taking a chisel to his own wrist whilst in the basement of Willowgate Arcade.
  • Ricky - One of Hank's crew. Apprentice, young, skinny to the point of malnourished but energetic
  • Pierce - One of Hank's crew. Smokes actual tobacco rather than an e-cig. Customer of Morris, is learning to appreciate better quality brands.
• Jeff Coburn - Works in Land & Property Services Dept of Blackmouth City Government. Being strung along by Diana for information and favours.
• Jon Barrows - Father of Jane, proprietor of corner shop at one end of the Arcade, friend of Morris. Gruff, serious, emotionally distant papa wolf-type, experiencing difficulties with his daughter.
• Laylah Spenser - Organiser for Save Old Ormwood campaign. Large, middle-aged, smiling, mixed-race lady.
  • Friend or colleague of Nathan Slocum in a group that investigated strange events in Blackmouth. Was part of group that sealed the basement of Willowgate. More a fixer than a source of knowledge, but perhaps she knows people who know things.
• Pastor McConnell - Modernist pastor of Oak Street Presbyterian Church. Concerned about Morris's state of mind after he discussed his encounter with dark forces with him.
• Mel - Pale caucasian woman. Encountered by Graves studying the carved tree, curious about Diana.
  • Is apparently able to use magic. Apologetically sparse with information. Called Diana, Morris and Jane 'sleepwalkers' but seemed unsure. Deeply unsettled by the room beneath the Arcade. Reinforced the wards and left to seek help from others who knew more.
• Nathan Slocum - Deceased industrialist (died a year ago). Graves' company exists due to an angel investment from Slocum's estate.
  • Visited the Arcade in the 1980s, involved with the sealing of the basement. May have been involved in the secret and occult elements of Blackmouth in life.
• Nicole Morgan - Willowy professional woman. Worked at the White Raven (book shop Diana found seeking books on the shadowy side of Blackmouth). Very helpful.
• Salvatore Massaro - Runs eponymous deli/pizzeria in the Arcade. Loud, opinionated, makes okay but cheap pizza. Has a cousin Vinny who is a lawyer. Everyone calls him Sal.
