Character Page Style Guide

Character pages on this wiki should be written according to the following style guide.

What to include Notes
Template:Infobox Character Copy template into page and fill out relevant fields.
{{stub}} Only include if the page is incomplete.
{{OOC|page}} Only include if the character is supernatural or has notable secrets that could not be revealed by a moderately dedicated search.
opening paragraph A basic introduction to the character. Later sections will provide detail but this should cover the basics. Open the paragraph with character's name in bold, don't include a header
__TOC__ Used to force Table of Contents to appear under introduction.
==Background==
background paragraph(s) The character's background. This should be a paragraph for minor characters, more for more important and developed characters.
==Description==
description paragraph The character's physical description. This should be one paragraph, and should be emotive and descriptive and avoid cold numbers. eg. tall and rail-thin rather than 6'" and 150lbs.
==Personality==
personality paragraph(s) The character's personality. This should have enough information that someone could play or write the character, and should be should be split into three paragraphs - one for the basics of the personality, and one each for a description of the character's Virtue and Vice or equivalent and should each open with the sentence "<CharacterName>'s Virtue/Vice/Legend/Lair/Dirge/Mask/etc is <Virtue>", with the Virtue or Vice italicized.
==Connections==
connections Any notable connections the character has to other characters, places, or groups should be described here, either in short paragraph form or bulletpointed
==Abilities==
abilities (bullet points) Include 1-3 notable or emblematic dice pools that the character has, using descriptive language rather than Attribute and Skill. eg. Academic Research (7 dice, 9-again): <Character> is a talented academic and knows how to make sense of disparate sources of information.
==See Also== If there are any other related pages (eg. character sheet, journals, character questions, fiction starring the character) include a link to it here.
categories Include relevant categories at the very bottom of the page. At a very minimum this should Category:Characters. This section does not require a header.

Further information such as character sheets, journals, 100 Questions or anything else should be added as separate pages.
