The Patriots

The Patriots, also known as the PR Patriots, Row Boys or the Dead Presidents, are a small gang operating in the neighbourhood of Presidents Row.

The Patriots happeared in the wake of the fall of the Jefferson Boys, a peckerwood gang that terrorised the Row through most of the '00s, filling the vacuum left in the Row by their untimely demise. Members are all residents of the Row and have learned the lesson of the JB downfall by not shitting where they live; instead they focus on providing what people need - primarily drugs, with a sideline on selling things stolen from elsewhere in Blackmouth. They are no less violent than the JBs, but aimed at people that residents of the Row don’t care about, mostly rival dealers but also other criminals operating in the Row without their blessing, and the occasional rebellious youth who needs to be beaten back onto the straight and narrow.

They have an ongoing hate for the Westwood Kings, but things are mostly a cold war at the moment. Anyone crossing over I-95 is free game though, and liable to start a war again.

The Patriots are found ‘on business’ in Arkwright Park and the west Circles, or the empty lots on the corner of Washington and Franklin. When they’re not beating the hell out of someone for crossing them, they’re as likely to be drinking or playing X-Box at one of their cribs in the tenements.

Notable Members

Tyler Powell

The leader and founder of the Patriots, Tyler Powell is a steel-hard man inside and out. Six feet four inches of Black Power with a will of iron, he is the worst nightmare the Jefferson Boys ever had about who would end up running the Row but he would never have achieved that without help. He tried to stand against the JBs before and was nearby broken by them, but it was while he was recovering that he met a man who offered everything to him. He offered to help remove the JBs, to put Tyler on top in the Row, and perhaps more in time, and all he asked for was Tyler’s assistance now and then with particular problems. He said yes, and he found his new friend to be a monster of his word.

The Four Horsemen

Jono Gordon, Axel Bennett, JayDee Fletcher and Dubs Cooke are the four enforcers and lieutenants of the Patriots and the nucleus of the gang. They knew Tyler when he stood up against the JBs and they stood with him as the first Patriots when he kicked the Kings out of the Row. They know about his friendship with his secret benefactor but not the truth of it, nor how much Tyler is willing to sacrifice for his own ends.
