- Melanie Roth: Victim de la nuit, a gift from Diana to Lane.
- Lane: Head of the Court, master of a part of Blackmouth. Potently charismatic.
- Elijah: Priestly middle-aged man, theologically minded, spoke to Jane about scriptures not for the ears of mortals.
- Peters: Stern-faced man, angry at Diana's intrusion into his domain until a deal was done.
- Victor Grant: Large African-American, took to Morris on learning of his assault on the Aryan Legion.
- Kenneth Garcia: Outwardly pleasant Hispanic man who held himself above the doings of the court.
- The Italian Man, the Biker, and the White-Eyed Woman: Other vampires at the court.
- The skinhead: Spotted the Children at Sebastian Park, called someone when he saw Morris. Panicked when he was attacked, shot Morris and ran.
Locations
- Worshipful Fellowship of the Rose and Cross: A bastion of an past age surviving in the fallen streets of Ormwood. Site of the Court.
- Sebastian Park: Where the Children were left after the Court, and where Morris was shot in an altercation.
- Stanton General Hospital: A sterile suburban hospital with a very capable ER.
