The Storm Lords (Iminir in the First Tongue, lit. "rulers of the storm") are one of the five Tribes of the Moon. They renowned as cold, unrelenting hunters who value self-reliance and personal strength, always trying to prove their worth as heirs of their Father in an ever-continuing crucible of harrowing tasks they call Abni-Gur, the crucible of becoming. Most Storm Lords seek to balance the sense of distance from their brethren due to their self-reliance with understanding to avoid losing their empathy. Most seek to know their packmates on a personal level and spend their time trying to understand their enemies.
Tribal Oath
Allow No One to Witness or to Tend Your Weakness. (Nu Si Gid Namtar in the First Tongue). Storm Lords define themselves by their resilience and self-reliance. Defiance even in the face of defeat is among the highest virtues of the tribe.
Totem
The Storm Lords revere Skolis-Ur, Winter Wolf, the second-oldest child of Mother Moon and Father Wolf and the last one to swear the Oath of the Moon to Luna. They tell how his howl of grief after slaying Father Wolf was so potent that it frightened his brethren and on seeing this Winter Wolf was ashamed. He saw that his weakness had hurt his pack and vowed then to be unyielding, and to lead his siblings as their Father would do.
Storm Lords in Blackmouth
There has never been a focal point to the Iminir of Blackmouth, as each alpha or would-be alpha attempts to carve their own domination out of the fractious city. A large contingent of the Lightning Chains pack and outlaw motorcycle club are Storm Lords, but their power and influence is limited to the roads of New England.
Notable members of the tribe who have appeared in chronicles set in Blackmouth include:
- Baishan Kensas, alpha of the Lightning Chains, friend and ally of Neil McCracken and would-be kingpin of the roads.
